Cassyt is a female half-elf cleric of Kelemvor. She is in her early twenties and is rather plain-looking. Cassyt is assigned to Valhingen Graveyard in Phlan, where she works under the supervision of Doomguide Yovir Glandon. In DDEX1-4 Dues for the Dead, Cassyt was a candidate for the Most Solemn Order of the Silent Shroud, the formal clergy of Kelemvor, and may have been admitted to the Order thereafter. In fact, in DDEX1-10 Tyranny in Phlan, Cassyt wears a tabard bearing the symbol of Kelemvor (an upright skeletal arm holding the golden scales of justice), suggesting that she was indeed admitted to the Order.

Cassyt is more at home in the Graveyard’s archive than its catacombs. Nevertheless, between her duties and her reading, she has become quite familiar with the history of the catacombs (treat as Intelligence (History) +4; catacombs only).

Personality:

Cassyt is described as having an “unusually sunny disposition,” as “incessantly rattling off minutiae and trivia about the catacombs,” and as having “a dry, albeit slightly warped, sense of humor” in both DDEX1-4 Dues for the Dead and DDEX1-10 Tyranny in Phlan. In Tyranny in Phlan, she is depicted as being brave despite her fear.

Cassyt is neutral good. Left to her own devices, she will report any trespassing and thefts from the Graveyard to Doomguide Yovir Glandon. However, she can be persuaded to turn a blind eye, at least to trespassing, for the greater good.

Appearances:

In DDEX1-4 Dues for the Dead, Cassyt accompanied a group of adventurers entering the catacombs, and in DDEX1-10 Tyranny in Phlan she assisted Knight Aleyd Burral. Cassyt and Aleyd are friends.

Statistics and Equipment:

Cassyt uses the acolyte stat block from the Monster Manual. In addition, she can Turn Undead. When her duties take her into the catacombs, she carries a lantern. In the right circumstances, she has been known to don ill-fitting leather armor and carry a battered longsword as well.

Quotes:

“Well, that about does it for me. You know I don’t get paid for this, right?”

“And how do you expect me to get down?”

“Doomguide Glandon isn't going to be pleased to hear about this…”

“Gah!”

“Not that you would listen to me anyway, I just thought you should know that Sedrair was quite fond of her gold. She probably wouldn’t appreciate your mucking about with it.”

"No longer will you profane this place with your presence!”
