(Redirected from Doomguide Yovir Glandon)

Doomguide Yovir Glandon is the most senior member of formal clergy of Kelemvor, the Most Solemn Order of the Silent Shroud, in Phlan and has worked in Valhingen Graveyard for nearly 40 years. He is a thin, middle-aged human man with deep-set, blue eyes, a shaved head, and a well-trimmed beard streaked with gray. He wears gray robes that are grass-stained and that trail twigs and leaves from their frayed hem.

As evidenced by the condition of his robes, as well as his dirty, calloused hands, Doomguide Glandon personally maintains the grounds of the Graveyard. Despite his station, he can often be found sweeping or gardening.

Personality:

Nevertheless, Doomguide Glandon is a learned man. Casual visitors may not get that impression, as he is reserved and generally lets others steer the course of conversation, interjecting only when necessary. Doomguide Glandon is not interested in the politics of Phlan and keeps the Order neutral in such matters. However, he is concerned with the welfare of the people of the city and sometimes acts independently to ensure their well-being, particularly where the undead are involved.

Doomguide Glandon takes his stewardship of Valhingen Graveyard quite seriously. He does not tolerate any theft from, or other disturbance of, the resting dead, nor will he suffer the presence of any undead in the Graveyard.

Statistics and Equipment:

Doomguide Glandon is the only member of the Order in Phlan capable of restoring the dead to life. He is the only person with keys to the portals in the Graveyard’s catacombs.

Appearances:

In DDEX1-1 Defiance in Phlan, Brother Keefe refered to Doomguide Glandon’s personal maintenance of the Graveyard’s grounds.

In DDEX1-3 Shadows on the Moonsea, he hired a groupo of adventurers to look into rumors of a ghost ship attacking remote locations on the northern coast of the Moonsea.

In DDEX1-4 Dues for the Dead, Doomguide Glandon hired a group of adventurers to destroy some undead in the catacombs of Valhingen Graveyard.

In DDEX1-10 Tyranny in Phlan, Cassyt refers to the Doomguide’s whereabouts and ability to raise the dead.
